I need to underlay a floor plan on an rcp so my walls show consistently on my electrical lighting plans.
Section in rcp wont show on floor plans revit.
First verify that.
Set a level and a height offset for each of these parameter.
I drew a section in the first floor plan.
To adjust how the window is represented when cut in a plan view adjust the elevation of the cut plane in the family.
If the project is workshared confirm that the workset of the element is visible in all views.
The door plan swing and panel symbolic lines exist at the floor level so if anything is above the floor level where the door is those lines well get obscured.
If your underlay orientation is set to rcp your cut plane is set below the ceiling height your top is above the ceiling and your discipline is set to architectural all of your above ceiling mep elements will not be visible.
Section marker not showing up in all plans.
People who are new to revit are always having issues seeing everything in a project view.
Window door families are not cut based on the cut plane defined in project views.
If the view range of your rcp is such.
But section is architectural it won t show in the roof plan.
When i go to the roof plan the section marker isnt showing up.
See check the design option settings for a view.
If the door appears then there s something obscuring it.
Instead they are cut based on the cut plane defined in the family s plan view.
See change the clip plane in an elevation view and about section view width and depth.
Try changing to wire frame and see what happens.
In a floor plan view the key parameters are cut plane and bottom.
I guess it s the autocad mentality that is so hard to shake at first.
Menglmn just to clarify i d like to get the revit screenshot below to show the walls you see in the cad screenshot.
If the element is part of a design option check the visibility settings of design options in the view.
And a screenshot of the properties of one of the walls that wont show up.
Go to the floor plan view and click in the view range menu in the instance properties.
Anyway over time i ve seen and heard plenty of suggestions on what a user should or should not do to expose missing elements but the following top 10 reasons is the most comprehensive check list i ve seen.
